Manchester United are reportedly showing an interest in Angers defender Dan Sinate.
The 19-year-old spent time with Monaco and Deportivo Alaves before joining the youth system of Angers in 2025, and he then signed his first professional contract with the French outfit in June.
Sinate has penned a four-year contract with Angers, and he is expected to be a regular for the Ligue 1 side during the 2025-26 campaign, being viewed as one of the best young talents at the club.
According to The Sun, scouts from Man United were hugely impressed with his performances for Mali Under-20s during this year's Maurice Revello Tournament, which has seen the Red Devils emerge as genuine suitors.
The report claims that the 20-time English champions are not planning an immediate move for Sinate, with Ruben Amorim's side instead set to monitor his progress during the 2025-26 campaign.
Man United 'eyeing future move' for Angers teenager Sinate
Sinate is primarily a left-back, but he is also capable of featuring in central defence and in midfield - qualities which have allegedly made him even more attractive for Man United.
The teenager made 40 appearances for Monaco Under-19s, scoring twice, while he has also featured on nine occasions for Angers B since his arrival at the club.
Man United are unlikely to be the only club monitoring the teenager, though, so they may have to move quickly in 2026 if the defender makes a positive impression at first-team level in the first half of the 2025-26 campaign.
What is the current left-sided wing-back situation at Man United?
Patrick Dorgu is expected to start the new season as the first-choice left-sided wing-back, with the Denmark international a strong performer for the Red Devils in the second half of 2024-25 following his arrival in January.
Luke Shaw is now viewed as one of a centre-back option by head coach Amorim due to his fitness issues, while Harry Amass is set to leave on loan, possibly to a Championship club.
Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui are both capable of playing as left-sided wing-backs, but it does appear that new signing Diego Leon will be the back-up to Dorgu in that position moving forward.
Leon made the move to Old Trafford from Cerro Porteno earlier this summer, and the 18-year-old made a big impression on his debut for Man United against Leeds United on Saturday.
The South American is now with the Red Devils squad in the United States preparing for the matches against West Ham United, Bournemouth and Everton, and he is set to receive more first-team exposure in the Premier League Summer Series.
