Following Cristiano Ronaldo's blockbuster move back to Manchester United, Sports Mole looks at when the 36-year-old could make his second debut for the Red Devils.

Manchester United have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Juventus to re-sign club legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Red Devils hijacked Manchester City's move for the 36-year-old at the 11th hour, moving quickly to wrap up a deal less than 24 hours after opening talks with his agent Jorge Mendes.

Personal terms are yet to be agreed, but Ronaldo is expected to put pen to paper on a two-year contract at Old Trafford, keeping him at the club until June 2023.

Ronaldo's arrival is likely to make Man United one of the front-runners to win this season's Premier League title, particularly following the previous summer signings of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane.

However, Man United fans will have to wait before catching their first glimpse of Ronaldo's second stint, with the Portuguese striker set to remain in his home country during the upcoming international break.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner will then join up with his new teammates, and could make his second debut for the club at home against Newcastle United on September 11.

Ronaldo scored 118 goals in 292 appearances during his first spell at Man United, including 42 in the 2007-08 season alone.

That tally helped the Red Devils to lift the Champions League and Premier League double - one of three domestic league titles he won during his time in England.
