Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer news and rumours, including Taiwo Awoniyi to West Ham, Max Aarons to Valencia and Calvin Ramsay to Kilmarnock.

West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi.

The Hammers are in desperate need of a new centre-forward after being left light on options due to recent injuries.

Michael Antonio is out for an extended period after he fractured his leg in a road traffic accident in December, while Niclas Fullkrug has now been ruled out for months due to a hamstring injury.

With the Hammers looking for reinforcements, journalist Jack Rosser is reporting that they are keen to bring Forest's Awoniyi to the London Stadium.

The Hammers are said to have made an initial approach over a loan deal, but the prospect of a permanent transfer has not been ruled out.

However, the update claims that Forest would have to compromise on their £20m asking price for West Ham to be able to pull off a permanent deal.

Aarons joins Valencia on loan

Over in Spain, Valencia have confirmed the signing of Bournemouth defender Max Aarons on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Following the announcement, Aarons told Valencia's media channels: "I'm very happy. I know how incredible this club is, and I'm ready to get started. It's been a hectic few days since I arrived, so it's great to finally put on my boots and be out on the pitch with the team."

As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish side have a €9m (£7.6m) option to make the move permanent at the conclusion of the loan period.

Aarons will hope to gain regular game time at the Mestalla after being restricted to just four appearances at Bournemouth this season.

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola admitted that it was an "amazing" opportunity for Aarons when asked about the move ahead of Tuesday's Premier League clash with Chelsea.

"We've thought the best for him, if he wasn't playing the minutes he wanted here," Iraola told reporters. "The opportunity that has arrived for him is amazing, Valencia is a big club and I hope he does well there."

Aarons joins a club that are battling to preserve their top-flight status, with Valencia currently languishing at the foot of La Liga with four points separating them from safety.

Ramsay departs Liverpool on loan

Meanwhile, in the Scottish Premiership, Kilmarnock have announced the loan signing of Liverpool full-back Calvin Ramsay.

The 21-year-old returned to Liverpool earlier this month after cutting short a season-long loan move at League One side Wigan Athletic.

Killie have confirmed they have won the race to sign the Scotland international, recruiting him on a loan deal until the end of the campaign.

Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes told the club's official website: "When the opportunity came up to sign Calvin we jumped at it. I'd like to thank Liverpool for their cooperation once again on this deal."

Ramsay, who has also spent time on loan at Preston and Bolton, is set to play under McInnes for the second time in his career after the pair previously worked together at Aberdeen.

The defender will be hoping to make his debut when Kilmarnock travel to Celtic Park for Saturday's tricky Scottish Cup clash against holders Celtic.
