Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta may reportedly look to sign two attackers in the summer transfer window in order to help support winger Bukayo Saka.

Arsenal are said to have settled on Nico Williams and Viktor Gyokeres as their two main attacking priorities in the summer transfer window.

The Gunners will take on Newcastle United on Sunday in their penultimate Premier League match of the season, but with the title out of reach and qualification for the Champions League a near certainty, there is little jeopardy for the Londoners.

Boss Mikel Arteta will be keen to finally end his side's trophy drought next season, though he may need to make numerous additions in order to do so.

Winger Bukayo Saka can be pencilled in on the right side of attack ahead of the 2025-26 season, though question marks remain regarding striker Kai Havertz and winger Gabriel Martinelli.

Fichajes claims that Arsenal will look to make a joint offer in the region of £92.3m to sign Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams and Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres.

What would Williams bring?

Williams excelled for Spain at Euro 2024, winning the tournament while forming an excellent partnership with teenager Lamine Yamal.

The 22-year-old has endured a mixed 2024-25 campaign, scoring just five goals and providing just five assists in 28 La Liga games.

However, the forward's impact cannot necessarily be measured in terms of direct goal contributions given his speed has allowed him to stretch the pitch and create chances by getting in behind opposition defences.

Williams's intensity would help provide attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard with a dynamic target to play towards in attack, and his pace could help create space for others to exploit.

What would Gyokeres bring?

Havertz has a chance to return to the squad on Sunday following a lengthy period on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury, but he has frequently been criticised for his ability in the final third during his time at the Emirates.

Considering Arsenal have only scored 66 goals in the Premier League this season - 17 fewer than first-placed Liverpool - it is no surprise that the club have been linked with Gyokeres.

The 26-year-old has found the back of the net 44 times for Sporting in 40 matches while also registering eight assists, and his experience in the Championship with Coventry could help him adapt to the physicality of the Premier League.

Saka is arguably the Gunners' most creative player, and he would benefit from being able to combine with an imposing number nine such as Gyokeres in and around the penalty area.
