Ipswich Town head coach Kieran McKenna has lost Leif Davis to suspension for Saturday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United at St James' Park.
The Tractor Boys left-back was rightfully dismissed for a shocking challenge on Arsenal's Bukayo Saka during last weekend's 4-0 loss to the Gunners, which put Ipswich one draw or defeat away from relegation.
Davis begins a three-game ban for that straight red card and is one of nine guaranteed for injury-hit Ipswich, who are also without Jaden Philogene (knee), Arijanet Muric (shoulder), Wes Burns (knee), Chiedozie Ogbene (Achilles), Sammie Szmodics (ankle), Omari Hutchinson (thigh), Kalvin Phillips (calf) and Nathan Broadhead (thigh).
Fellow left-back Conor Townsend is also missing due to a hamstring issue, so either Cameron Burgess - who shored up the defence against Arsenal after Davis's dismissal - or Ben Godfrey may have to fill in here.
Further forward, Phillips's calf problem should see McKenna stick with the Sam Morsy and Jens Cajuste double pivot, while Julio Enciso operates just ahead of the duo in the number 10 slot.
A lack of attacking alternatives means that Ben Johnson and Jack Clarke's spots are safe; the latter was sacrificed for the more defensive Burgess in the first half of the loss to the Gunners.
McKenna erred on the side of caution with Liam Delap once again last weekend, but the in-demand striker should be given the nod to replace George Hirst this time around.
Ipswich Town possible starting lineup:
Palmer; Tuanzebe, O'Shea, Greaves, Burgess; Morsy, Cajuste; Johnson, Enciso, Clarke; Delap
