How Celtic could line up against Hearts

Sports Mole takes a look at how Celtic could line up in this weekend's Scottish Premiership clash with Hearts.

First will travel to second in the Scottish Premiership this weekend as division leaders Hearts prepare to face Celtic at Celtic Park.

Hearts have made a brilliant start to the 2018-19 campaign, collecting 26 points from their 11 matches to sit atop the table.

Celtic are four points behind Hearts in second, but Brendan Rodgers's side do have a game in hand, and a win this weekend would place the Hoops in a strong position when it comes to moving to the summit.

Celtic have won each of their last four in the Scottish Premiership, while Hearts have been victorious in two of their last three.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at how Celtic could line up in front of their own supporters on Saturday afternoon.

CEL XI

Out: Nir Bitton (knee), Daniel Arzani (knee), Scott Brown (calf), Leigh Griffiths (knee), Jozo Simunovic (ankle), Cristian Gamboa (hamstring), Eboue Kouassi (knee)
Doubtful: Olivier Ntcham (hamstring)

Celtic will enter this match off the back of a thumping 5-0 win at Dundee in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday night, and it might be a case of same again when it comes to the thinking of head coach Rodgers.

Daniel Arzani made his Celtic debut off the bench against Dundee, but the Australia international picked up what looks to be a serious knee injury and could now miss the rest of the season. The same can also be said for Eboue Kouassi in what is a huge blow for the 20-year-old.

Odsonne Edouard made it four goals in his last three Scottish Premiership appearances with his team's fourth against Dundee, and the Frenchman is again expected to be supported by Ryan Christie, Scott Sinclair and James Forrest, who were also all among the goals last time out.

Dedryck Boyata's fitness had been a big talking point after the centre-back was taken off against Jim McIntyre's team with cramp in his calf, but the centre-back is fit for this match.
