Bournemouth play host to already-relegated Leicester City at the Vitality Stadium in their final Premier League game of the 2024-25 season on Sunday afternoon.
The Cherries are unable to qualify for European competition and have slipped to 11th in the table after winning only two of their last 12 league matches, most recently suffering a 3-1 defeat at Manchester City on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Leicester's fate was sealed last month and they are now preparing for life back in the Championship, although they are keen to end the campaign on a high and have put together a three-match unbeaten run, most recently beating fellow relegated outfit Ipswich Town 2-0 last weekend.

Bournemouth and Leicester City have faced each other a total of 23 times across all competitions, with the Foxes marginally leading the overall head-to-head record having posted 10 wins to the Cherries' eight, while there have also been five draws played out between the two clubs.
The very first meeting between these two teams took place back in September 1969 when Leicester secured a 2-0 victory against Bournemouth - known then as Bournemouth and Boscombe - in the third round of the EFL Cup.
The only other previous cup meeting between these two clubs was held at the Vitality Stadium in February 2024 when a superb extra-time strike from Abdul Fatawu helped the Foxes seal a slender 1-0 win over the Cherries in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Every other encounter between Bournemouth and Leicester has been in the league, including six meetings in the old Division Two between 1987 and 1990, with both sides winning three games each.
Bournemouth and Leicester had to wait 23 years before facing each other again in the Championship, with the Foxes winning both home and away fixtures in their title-winning 2013-14 campaign under Nigel Pearson.
In the Premier League, Bournemouth and Leicester have squared off a total of 13 times, with five of the first six ending as a draw.
The Foxes claimed a 1-0 success away from home in December 2016 during this period, and they have since won three and lost four of their last seven encounters with the Cherries, most recently winning - again - by a 1-0 scoreline at the King Power Stadium in October 2024.
