Arsenal are charged with failing to ensure their players acted in an orderly fashion by the FA in their 1-0 win over Leeds United.

Arsenal have been charged by the FA for "failing to ensure that their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion" in the wake of Gabriel Magalhaes's red card incident against Leeds United at the weekend.

The Brazilian centre-back was initially given a straight red for kicking out at Patrick Bamford in the 92nd minute of the match, with the Whites being awarded a penalty.

Mikel Arteta's men remonstrated with the linesman and Chris Kavanagh, who ultimately overturned the penalty decision due to a foul by Bamford, and Gabriel's card was downgraded to a yellow.

Arsenal held on for a nervy 1-0 win that saw them go four points clear at the top of the Premier League table, but they have now been charged with failure to ensure that players conducted themselves in "orderly fashion".

"Arsenal FC has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E20.1 following their Premier League fixture against Leeds United on Sunday 16 October 2022," a statement read.

"It is alleged that the club failed to ensure that their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion in the 92nd minute of the fixture. Arsenal FC have until Monday October 24 2022 to provide a response."

Arsenal have been hit with the charge only a couple of days after Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was charged with improper conduct in the Reds' 1-0 win over Manchester City.
