Carlos Alcaraz wins French Open: Can you name every men's singles champion since 1968?

Sports Mole challenges you to name every French Open men's champion since 1968.

Those fortunate enough to enter Court Philippe-Chatrier on June 8, 2025 laid witness to what may go down as the greatest French Open men's singles final in the history of the game.

One day after the top two women's players in the world - Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka - served up a captivating championship match, the two best men's players on the globe also went the distance in the most epic of epic encounters at Roland-Garros.

World number one Jannik Sinner sought to end Carlos Alcaraz's reign of dominance on the red dirt, whereas the Spaniard sought to emulate his compatriot Rafael Nadal and become the next man to win back-to-back French Open trophies.

Sinner was on course to complete his mission, taking a 2-0 lead after two gripping sets, but the never-say-die Alcaraz remarkably saved three championship points, levelled the match and forced a winner-takes-all tie-breaker.

After trading blows for over five hours, Alcaraz displayed his champion credentials in a dominant final display to defend his crown, and to celebrate his astounding achievement, Sports Mole challenges you to name every men's singles French Open winner in the Open Era.
