The most recent meeting between these two sides on the final day also saw Newcastle in Champions League contention back in 2011-12, but they were beaten 3-1 at Goodison Park, and had to settle for the Europa League.
Where is Newcastle vs. Everton being played?
Newcastle's Premier League finale will come on home soil at St James' Park, as they seek to capitalise on good form in familiar surroundings in order to get over the line and finish in the top five.
The reverse fixture at Goodison Park took place in October, and ended goalless, as ex-Everton man Anthony Gordon was denied by boyhood Sunderland fan Jordan Pickford from the penalty spot.

Newcastle must win to ensure they confirm Champions League qualification next season, as five clubs can still finish in the three remaining places, and they are all separated by just three points, in what is set to be an exciting final day.
Everton are merely playing for pride with 13th place guaranteed in the Premier League, and after giving Goodison Park a worthy farewell last weekend, the players will be much more relaxed, after leaving the Grand Old Lady with a win against Southampton.
Who will win Newcastle vs. Everton?
The vast majority of onlookers are expecting a home win in this one, with Newcastle having won six consecutive home matches, and still having something to play for.
Everton will finish 13th no matter what happens here, and with Jarrad Branthwaite set to miss out at the back, that could be pivotal, especially if the hosts can welcome Alexander Isak back to the fold in time.
