Barcelona and Manchester United have reportedly come to an agreement over a switch for Marcus Rashford, with the England international set to make the move to the Catalan giants on an initial loan deal.
Rashford has been training away from Man United's first-team squad since his return from pre-season, with his representatives working on a departure for the 27-year-old.
Barcelona have always been Rashford's first pick when it comes to a new club, and according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, a deal for the forward to move to Camp Nou has now been agreed.
Romano claims that the Englishman will join Hansi Flick's side on an initial loan deal, but there will be the chance to make it a permanent move during next summer's transfer window.
Rashford will now allegedly travel to Spain to undergo a medical examination, with the transfer saga seemingly over.
Barcelona 'agree Rashford deal'
Rashford spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, scoring four goals and registering six assists in 17 appearances for the club, but he did not join them on a permanent basis despite a £40m option being included.
The forward fell out with Man United head coach Ruben Amorim in the first half of last season, and it became clear that he would leave this summer when his number 10 shirt was handed to Matheus Cunha.
Rashford will leave Man United having scored 138 goals and registered 77 assists in 426 appearances, and he will now have the chance to play for the champions of Spain.
According to journalist David Ornstein, Barcelona will cover the entirety of Rashford's £300,000-a-week wage packet, which is what Man United had been pushing for a while in loan discussions.
Flick 'has been pushing' for Rashford switch
Barcelona head coach Flick is said to be a huge admirer of Rashford, with the German pushing to bring him to Camp Nou.
Nico Williams had been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona, but the Spain international ultimately signed a new contract at Athletic Bilbao, while a move for Liverpool's Luis Diaz was deemed to be too expensive.
Flick is believed to be confident that he can help Rashford rediscover his best form, with the Englishman set to bolster the wide positions at Barcelona, with Raphinha and Laminre Yamal first choice in that area of the field.
Rashford's debut for Barcelona could come against Vissel Kobe on July 27, with the Englishman set to travel with his new teammates on their pre-season tour of Asia.
