Manchester United have reportedly stepped up their interest in Javi Guerra, with the Red Devils determined to win the race for the Valencia midfielder during this summer's transfer window.
Guerra, 22, has scored eight goals and registered four assists in 89 appearances for Valencia, and he enjoyed an impressive 2024-25 campaign for Los Che, managing three goals and three assists in 38 outings.
There has been a host of speculation surrounding the Spaniard's future this summer, with a number of clubs believed to be interested in securing his signature, as Valencia are said to be open for a sale for financial reasons.
According to Fichajes, Man United are currently in negotiations with Valencia over a transfer fee, and they have already agreed personal terms with the midfielder over a switch to the Premier League.
The report claims that the 20-time English champions view Guerra as the ideal replacement for Christian Eriksen, with the Denmark international leaving on a free transfer at the end of last month.

There is believed to be an £87m release clause in his current deal at Valencia, but the expectation is that he will be allowed to leave for a fee in the region of £26m.
AC Milan have been heavily linked with the midfielder of late, but it is understood that the Italian team have not yet presented an offer deemed suitable by his La Liga club.
Guerra is 6ft 2in, while he is excellent in possession of the ball, making him a very interesting option for a Man United side that still look short when it comes to the middle of the park.
Indeed, after Saturday's goalless draw with Leeds United, Man United head coach Ruben Amorim conceded that his side "have a lack of pace" in "the middle of the park".

"We have a lack of pace, especially in the middle of the park, and you can feel that's hard to bring the ball," Amorim told reporters following the pre-season fixture.
Bruno Fernandes is expected to operate in a deeper position this season, allowing Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo to feature as the number 10s behind a new centre-forward.
Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer are also among the midfield options for Amorim, and Guerra could be the perfect player to add to that group, as he would bring a different set of skills.
