Newcastle United will begin their preparations for the 2025-26 Premier League campaign on Saturday as they travel to Paradise to face Celtic in a pre-season friendly.

The Magpies have a busy pre-season ahead with six friendlies lined up, while the Bhoys are already deep into their Scottish Premiership preparations, having played four matches and with just two remaining.

Newcastle will get their Premier League term underway when they take on Aston Villa on August 16, while Celtic start their title defence against St Mirren on August 3.

The match is set to take place at Celtic Park in Glasgow, Scotland. 

The stadium, nicknamed "Paradise", has been Celtic’s home since 1892 and, with a capacity of 60,832, it stands as the largest stadium in Scotland and the eighth-largest in the United Kingdom.

TV channels

The game has not been chosen for broadcast in the United Kingdom and Ireland, with the friendly only available to watch via streaming services and in a selection of other countries.

Online streaming

Celtic's club streaming service, CelticTV, will be broadcasting the game, with a £50 subscription required for a years access. 

Newcastle United's official app, NUFC TV, will also be streaming the pre-season friendly.

Celtic will look to build on their recent 2-0 win over Sporting Lisbon before taking on Ajax in their final friendly ahead of beginning their Scottish Premiership title defence against St Mirren.
