Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero has hinted that he is ready to consider a transfer away from the Premier League club.
On Monday night, the Argentina international was part of the Spurs side that succumbed to a 2-1 reverse at the hands of Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
As a result, Ange Postecoglou's side remain in 16th position in the standings, left to focus on trying to lift the Europa League trophy having recently reached the semi-finals.
Romero has played a limited amount of times in both competitions, totalling just 18 starts in England's top flight and four on the continental scene, yet he has continued to be linked with a transfer away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Romero ready for new challenge?
Earlier in the season, Real Madrid were credited as admirers of the 26-year-old at a time when they are known to want to reduce the average age of their first-team squad.
Furthermore, Romero has previously not been shy in expressing his frustration at Spurs' transfer strategy, claiming in December the club need to "imitate" the other top clubs in the Premier League.
In response to a question about his future on Monday night, Romero indicated that he is "willing to do anything" going forward, albeit insisting that he has not held any discussions with his agent.
Speaking to Los Edul journalists Esteban and Gaston Edul, Romero said: "I try, above all things, to always live day to day.
"There are almost two months left of the season, and I want to perform at my best and try to finish it in the best way possible. We are in the semi-final of the Europa League, which is an important step for the club after so many years that it has not reached this stage.
"After that, we'll see. In the end, I would like to win it, but it depends on many things. The truth is that I have not spoken with my agent yet, but I am willing to do anything. My focus is always on growing and looking for new places to continue developing, but I don't want to talk about that yet because there are a few months left to finish the season.
"La Liga is a league I would love to play in and need to play in because it is the league that I would lack (to complete top-three leagues)."

How will Spurs handle comments?
Since his initial arrival on loan in 2021, Romero has made 121 appearances for Spurs, contributing seven goals, and Daniel Levy would naturally demand a sizeable fee should interest emerge in the summer.
That said, Romero will not be regarded as an indispensable member of the squad having missed at least 11 Premier League fixtures in three of his four seasons.
Romero, who represented Genoa and Atalanta BC in Serie A, also has just two years remaining on his contract, and cashing in this summer would arguably be the right time to recoup what they paid for him, somewhere between £42m and £47m.
Should Spurs qualify for the Champions League through winning the Europa League, it remains to be seen whether Romero's stance would change.
