Rosario Central will welcome Fortaleza to Estadio Gigante de Arroyito for the first leg of their round-of-16 tie in the Copa Sudamericana on Wednesday night.

The hosts overcame Internacional 2-1 on aggregate in the last round while the visitors secured automatic qualification to the last 16 by finishing top of Group D.

We say: Rosario Central 1-1 Fortaleza


Rosario experienced a significant dip in form over the last few months but they have shown improvement under caretaker manager Matias Lequi, who is yet to taste defeat in his new role.

However, Fortaleza have been rock solid for the majority of this season, both domestically and in this competition, and we feel they will keep this tie level heading into their home leg next week.

Palestino vs. Medellin (Thursday, 1.30am)

Palestino and Independiente Medellin clash in the first leg of their Copa Sudamericana round-of-16 tie on Thursday.

The Chilean side will be hoping to lift the trophy for the first time in their history, in what will be their seventh appearance in the competition.

We say: Palestino 1-1 Independiente Medellin


Palestino are inconsistent going into this match and do not appear to be a side capable of punishing Independiente Medellin, even though visitors find it difficult to win but seem to have enough to secure draws.

LDU Quito vs. Lanus (Thursday, 1.30am)

LDU Quito and Lanus return to action in the Copa Sudamericana when they go head to head at the Rodrigo Paz Delgado Stadium in the round of 16 on Thursday.

Ricardo Zielinski's men will head into the tie looking to snap their run of five back-to-back away games without a win and take a first-leg advantage back to Argentina.

We say: LDU Quito 2-1 Lanus


LDU Quito have put together a fine run of results in recent weeks and will head into Thursday's matchup with confidence as they look to secure a first-leg advantage. Lanus' recent form on the road leaves a lot to be desired and we see them struggling at the Rodrigo Paz Delgado Stadium.
