Manchester United are reportedly giving consideration to trying to acquire a second Wolverhampton Wanderers player during the summer transfer window.
As per widespread reports, United are closing in on a £62.5m deal to sign Matheus Cunha from the West Midlands outfit as they bid to strengthen in attack.
However, having missed out on Champions League qualification, Ruben Amorim will not be in a position to attract many - if any - other players in that price bracket.
Therefore, as well as generating funds through player sales such as involving Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford, United will also have to look for value-for-money deals.
According to FootballTransfers, that has led to the door being left open for a move for Nelson Semedo.

What is Semedo situation?
While the right-sided defender has progressed into a key player and leader at Molineux, his contract is due to expire at the end of June.
The Portugal international is not short of interest in his signature at a time when Wolves are known to offered him the chance to sign a new long-term contract.
Instead, Semedo is taking his time in making a decision at a time when Benfica - a former club - is eager to tempt him back to Portugal.
In a recent interview with CNN Portugal, the 31-year-old said: "I think Benfica are interested in me coming back. I just have to thank them for their interest.
"I've been happy there, it's a place where I've experienced many good things. I was a champion and it's the club of my heart. For these reasons, coming back would be great, but we'll see."
He added: "Honestly, I don't know where I'm going yet. I have to sit down with my family, see what's best for me and decide with my head, not my heart."

Will United push to see off Benfica interest?
The report suggests that Semedo's name was brought into conversations behind the scenes when in dialogue with Wolves over Cunha.
Semedo becoming a free agent is naturally an obvious factor in their interest, but United could benefit from another right wing-back option when current alternatives are sometimes required to back up other roles.
Furthermore, Amorim acquiring a compatriot who can have an impact in the dressing room are further advantages of signing Semedo, yet it feels like Benfica are the favourites at this stage.
A five-year stint at Molineux could come to an end with Semedo having contributed three goals and 11 assists from 182 appearances in all competitions.
