Agent Soren Lerby suggests that midfielder Davy Klaassen remains determined to make an impact at Everton.

Agent Soren Lerby has suggested that midfielder Davy Klaassen has no intention of leaving Everton in the near future.

Last summer, Everton shelled out £24m to sign Klaassen from Ajax, but the Netherlands international has failed to make an impact at Goodison Park.

The 25-year-old featured on just seven occasions in the Premier League this season, but the player's representative has seemingly ruled out the chance of a transfer.

Lerby told AD: "Davy is not someone who gives up quickly. He wants to start the pre-season at Everton."

Klaassen still has just over four years remaining on his contract with the Toffees.
