Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's League of Ireland Premier fixtures, including Derry City vs. Shamrock Rovers.

In a top of the table clash, second-placed Derry City will welcome League of Ireland leaders Shamrock Rovers to The Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium on Friday.

Derry were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Drogheda United on May 16 and have 27 points after 16 matchweeks, whereas Shamrock Rovers have 32 points after 17 games and managed to beat St Patrick's Athletic 4-0 on May 19.

We say: Derry City 1-2 Shamrock Rovers

It would not be surprising if Derry managed to score considering the visitors have been somewhat more defensively vulnerable on the road.

However, when coupling Shamrock's record in front of goal with their strong form, they should be confident of claiming all three points.

Drogheda vs. Bohemians (Friday, 7.45pm)

Two closely matched sides will face off when Drogheda United welcome Bohemians to Sullivan & Lambe Park on Friday.

The hosts occupy fourth spot in the League of Ireland Premier Division, while the visitors are one point better off in third position.

We say: Drogheda United 1-1 Bohemians

Bohemians may be in better form than Friday's opponents, but Drogheda have managed to avoid defeat in each of their last five home matches, and with that in mind, we think the hosts will do enough to take a point from the tricky contest.

Galway United vs. Cork City (Friday, 7.45pm)

Two struggling teams will lock horns in the League of Ireland Premier Division on Friday evening, with Galway United welcoming Cork City to Eamonn Deacy Park.

Galway United are currently eighth in the table, picking up 20 points from their 16 league matches this season, while Cork City are ninth, only collecting 12 points from their 16 fixtures during the current campaign.

We say: Galway United 1-1 Cork City

It is very difficult to back either side with any real confidence at the moment considering their performance levels; two of the last three top-flight meetings between the two sides have finished all square, including back in February, and we are predicting another draw here.

Shelbourne vs. Sligo (Friday, 7.45pm)

Shelbourne, reigning champions of the League of Ireland Premier Division, face Sligo Rovers on Friday evening, seeking to improve upon a lacklustre first half of the season.

The hosts are sixth in the table with 23 points from 17 matches, while the visitors are bottom of the standings with just 12 points from 16 league fixtures.

We say: Shelbourne 2-1 Sligo Rovers

Sligo may be boosted after their recent victory, while the hosts have struggled in past matches, but Shelbourne undoubtedly possess greater quality across the squad, leading us to expect a home win.

St Patrick's vs. Waterford (Friday, 7.45pm)

With their sights set on the European places in the League of Ireland's Premier Division, St Patrick's Athletic are set to host Waterford United at Richmond Park on Friday.

Saints have struggled over the past month and will be desperate to get back on track this week, while the Blues will be hoping to respond to their loss last time out.

We say: St Patrick's Athletic 1-1 Waterford United

St Patrick's may be in lacklustre form overall, but their lengthy unbeaten run at home is hard to overlook as they welcome Waterford this week.

On the other hand, the Blues have won back-to-back matches on their travels ahead of Friday's clash, so expect to see a close-fought contest.
