Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Chelsea could line up for Wednesday night's Champions League clash against Juventus.

Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel is without four first-team regulars for their trip to Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

French midfielder N'Golo Kante has been ruled out after testing positive for coronavirus. The 30-year-old, who is now in self-isolation, will also miss Saturday's Premier League game against Southampton.

Right wing-back Reece James, who was forced off in the first half against Manchester City last weekend with an ankle injury, will not play in Turin.

As a result, Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta is set to replace the 21-year-old, though Callum Hudson-Odoi is also an option, while experienced defender Thiago Silva is expected to join Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger in the back three.

In addition, midfielder Mason Mount and winger Christian Pulisic will not feature on Wednesday night, as they continue to recover from minor injuries.

Tuchel is unlikely to make drastic changes to his starting lineup, with the only dilemma for the German being who he decides to start in central midfield.

Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and Saul Niguez are seemingly the three most likely candidates to start, though only two may begin the match if Tuchel decides to play three attacking players up front.

Romelu Lukaku will lead the line as the central striker, while German duo Timo Werner and Kai Havertz could also be handed starts.

Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, who started against Man City after recovering from a knock sustained in training, is expected to start between the sticks ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Senegalese stopper kept nine Champions League clean sheets last season, the joint-most of any goalkeeper in the competitions' history.

Chelsea possible starting lineup: Mendy; Christensen, T. Silva, Rudiger; Azpilicueta, Kovacic, Jorginho, Alonso; Havertz, Lukaku, Werner
