Wolverhampton Wanderers are allegedly giving consideration to leaving Yerson Mosquera out of Vitor Pereira's plans for next season.
Despite the optimism that has followed Pereira's opening six months in charge, a period of upheaval is on the horizon at Molineux.
Manchester United confirmed on Sunday that they would be signing Matheus Cunha, while it has been reported that Manchester City are pressing ahead with their efforts to sign Rayan Ait-Nouri.
With Nelson Semedo and Pablo Sarabia also in line to leave on free transfers, there has been anticipation that the return of Mosquera after injury would hand the squad a timely boost.
However, according to Estadio Deportivo, the Colombia international may not be remaining in the West Midlands.

Wolves contemplating Mosquera future
The report suggests that Wolves are giving thought to loaning Mosquera out for the 2025-26 after missing the majority of this campaign.
Mosquera made five Premier League starts at the beginning of 2024-25 before sustaining a serious knee injury against Aston Villa in September.
Initially, the expectation was that the 24-year-old would do everything possible to recover in time for pre-season, the hope being that he could become a first-choice pick in Pereira's back three.
Instead, Wolves officials are seemingly thinking whether earning regular football away from English football would be best for Mosquera in the long term.
As recently as March, Wolves announced that Mosquera had signed a contract extension until 2023, emphasising that they view him as a key player in the years to come.

Which clubs are interested?
Villarreal are no strangers to Mosquera after he spent the second half of 2023-24 with the Yellow Submarine, making 18 appearances in all competitions.
The Champions League qualifiers are allegedly interested in a reunion with Mosquera, who is also said to have admirers in Real Betis.
Earning more senior football will seemingly be viewed as imperative for next season, wherever Mosquera ends up, with just 85 senior games being racked up at club level.
Although Wolves' stance may eventually soften, they are keeping their options open with Emmanuel Agbadou and Toti Gomes already certain starters when fit.
