Real Betis have allegedly been considering moves for strikers that are contracted to Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Although Betis suffered disappointment in the Conference League final as they lost to Chelsea, Manuel Pellegrini's side were able to secure qualification for the Europa League through their finishing position in La Liga.
As a result, they are able to show an increased level of ambition in the transfer market at a time when recent star man Antony has returned to parent club Manchester United.
However, according to ABC Sevilla, they are in the market for players who are not first choice at either Leeds or Wolves.
Betis considering striker options
The report alleges that Mateo Joseph and Fabio Silva are two players who have admirers in Pellegrini and Betis officials.
With regards to Silva, he has proven himself in La Liga during a loan stint with Las Palmas during 2024-25, scoring 10 times in 24 appearances.
Meanwhile, Joseph has just contributed three goals and three assists from 39 appearances in the Championship, albeit only 11 of those outings coming from the starting lineup.
Twenty-one-year-old Joseph also barely featured during the run-in, arguably a suggestion that he will struggle for Premier League action next season.
What is Betis' stance?
Betis are allegedly currently being put off by Wolves wanting to recoup in the region of €30m (£25.39m) for Silva.
With just one year left on the Portugal international's contract, Wolves will struggle to generate that level of fee and may have to reconsider that valuation.
In the case of Joseph, Leeds are said to be in no rush to cash in on his signature in the event that he impresses for Spain at the Under-21 European Championship.
That said, Joseph has only accumulated 1,997 minutes of football across 73 appearances for Leeds, making just 16 starts. If they receive a substantial offer for his signature, it would be considered.
As it stands, Betis are reportedly more interested in a deal for Joseph than Silva.
