Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Sasa Kalajdzic is allegedly attracting interest from clubs from three different nations ahead of the next phase of the summer transfer window.

Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Sasa Kalajdzic is reportedly attracting loan interest from three different clubs.

Since moving to Molineux in August 2022 in a £15m deal, the Austria international has been blighted by two serious knee injuries.

That has restricted Kalajdzic to just 327 minutes of football across 14 appearances, three goals and one assist still coming during those outings.

However, the 27-year-old was forced to miss the entirety of the last campaign after suffering his third ACL injury in the space of five years at Eintracht Frankfurt in February 2023.

Having not played since then, Kalajdzic faces a battle to resume his career at a high level and is seemingly not being considered for a first-team role at Wolves for the time being.

Which clubs want Kalajdzic?

According to The Express, Wolves are prepared to allow Kalajdzic to leave the club on loan during the summer.

The report alleges that Werder Bremen, Espanyol and Besiktas all hold a level of interest in the near-6ft 6in frontman.

Of the three, the assumption is that Kalajdzic may favour a move to Bremen given his previous periods living in Germany.

That said, he will also want to earn regular minutes, even if there is an understanding that he must ease his way back into action.

As of right now, it is unclear whether Wolves' medical staff would want to oversee Kalajdzic's progression in pre-season before allowing their counterparts at another club to take over monitoring Kalajdzic.

Is there any way back for Kalajdzic?

Given their respective statures, similarities can be made between first-choice forward Jorgen Strand Larsen and Kalajdzic.

There is an argument that Kalajdzic would be better served playing second or third fiddle to the Norway international during the first half of the season.

The player has a good rapport with the Wolves fanbase having scored memorable goals in away wins over Everton and Bournemouth during the 2023-24 campaign.
