Marcus Rashford is allegedly of the opinion that Manchester United would be prepared to sell him to any club this summer providing that their £40m asking price is met.
The 27-year-old joined Aston Villa on loan during the January transfer window, and Unai Emery's side have the option to sign the forward on a permanent basis during this summer's market for £40m.
Rashford will not play again this season due to a hamstring injury, but he has turned out for Villa on 17 occasions, scoring four goals and registering six assists, making a positive impression for the club.
Villa have allegedly not yet decided whether to sign the Englishman on a permanent basis, and it is believed that the forward is still holding out hope that he may be able to earn a switch to a major club, potentially Barcelona.
According to BBC Sport, Rashford believes that Man United would be willing to sell him for £40m to any club this summer, but there remains a huge issue when it comes to his salary at Old Trafford.

Villa 'yet to make up their mind' over permanent Rashford move
Rashford picks up in the region of £325,000 a week at Man United, and there are few clubs in Europe that would be able to get anywhere close to that salary, including Barcelona, who still have financial problems.
The forward, as it stands, will be back for pre-season training with Man United in July, and he could then take to the field against Leeds United on July 19, which comes ahead of the USA Tour.
However, it is still believed to be unlikely that head coach Ruben Amorim will reinstate Rashford in the squad considering that the relationship between the two broke down in the first half of the 2024-25 campaign.
Another loan deal is thought to be a possibility for this summer, but that would not suit Man United, as it would mean the club continuing to pay a portion of his wages, while a transfer fee would not be received.

Are Barcelona actually interested in Rashford?
Barcelona are believed to be huge admirers of Rashford, and the possibility of bringing the Englishman to Camp Nou is thought to have been discussed by major figures at the Catalan club.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona are desperately attempting to find a buyer for Ansu Fati, and if that occurs this summer, then the club would consider making a firm approach for Rashford.
Rashford has another three years left to run on his contract with Man United - a club that he has represented on 426 occasions, scoring 138 goals and registering 77 assists in the process.
Man United are allegedly on the verge of securing a deal for Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Matheus Cunha, and selling Rashford would help enormously in terms of the finances required to bring in the Brazilian.
