Manchester United will reportedly step up their interest in Southampton attacker Tyler Dibling only if one key condition is met.

Manchester United will reportedly step up their interest in Southampton attacker Tyler Dibling if they win the Europa League this season.

The Red Devils will look to strengthen Ruben Amorim's squad this summer in a bid to avoid a repeat of what has been a disappointing Premier League campaign.

Man United will end the season with their lowest ever Premier League points tally after taking just 38 points from 32 top-flight matches.

Dibling is seemingly viewed as one of the names that could bolster the Man United ranks ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Man United to pursue Dibling move on one condition

However, according to ESPN, the Red Devils will only pursue a transfer for the Southampton youngster on one key condition.

The report claims that Man United will step up their interest in Dibling if they secure Champions League qualification by winning the Europa League.

Champions League qualification would boost Man United's finances by around £80m, which would improve their budget for the upcoming transfer window.

Amorim's side will face Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League semi-finals after staging a dramatic turnaround to beat Lyon in Thursday's quarter-final second leg at Old Trafford.

However, if they fail to win the Europa League, the Red Devils may drop out of the race for Dibling to pursue other priority targets.

Man United's main focus for the summer transfer window is signing a new central midfielder and a new number nine, with Ipswich Town's Liam Delap said to be their top striker target.

Southampton could drop Dibling asking price

Previous reports have suggested that the Saints will demand £100m to part ways with a player who is allegedly under contract until 2027.

However, there is a belief that Southampton's valuation is unrealistic following their relegation to the Championship.

As a result, the South-coast side will likely have to drop their asking price, with Dibling expected to leave the club at the end of the season.

With that said, Southampton may hope that a potential bidding war between Dibling's potential suitors could help them receive a significant fee.

Man United are joined in the race for the teenager by fellow Premier League sides Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

There is also believed to be interest from overseas, with Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig said to be among Dibling's admirers.
