Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester City could line up for Sunday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola could have a fully-fit squad available for Sunday's Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Etihad Stadium.

Eighteen-year-old Rico Lewis was taken off in the closing stages of City's 4-2 comeback win over Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday with a minor ankle issue and is currently a doubt for the visit of Wolves, with Kyle Walker ready to deputise at right-back if required.

The Citizens were boosted by the return of John Stones and Ruben Dias in midweek, with the latter making his first appearance as a late substitute since sustaining a hamstring injury at the World Cup with Portugal.

Both Stones and Dias will be in contention to start on Sunday, although they face competition from fellow centre-backs Manuel Akanji and Aymeric Laporte, while Nathan Ake is also an option.

Ake, however, may retain his place at left-back, with the Dutchman one of a select few who were praised by Guardiola after the win over Spurs; Joao Cancelo could therefore watch on again from the substitutes' bench to begin with.

Kevin De Bruyne, who missed first-team training on Tuesday due to a personal matter, was an unused substitute on Thursday, but the playmaker is expected to return to the first XI against Wolves.

Julian Alvarez impressed alongside Erling Braut Haaland on his first start for City since winning the World Cup with Argentina, and the 22-year-old will be hoping to retain his place in attack, as will Riyad Mahrez who scored twice and produced a man-of-the-match display against Spurs.

Despite being largely at fault for both of Tottenham goals, goalkeeper Ederson is set to keep his place between the sticks ahead of Stefan Ortega, while the likes of Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva and Kalvin Phillips will all be pushing to start after beginning on the bench last time out.

Manchester City possible starting lineup: Ederson; Walker, Stones, Dias, Ake; De Bruyne, Rodri, Bernardo; Mahrez, Haaland, Alvarez
