Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing to make a fresh bid for Liverpool winger Luis Diaz.
The Colombian winger has a contract at Anfield until 2027, but he is thought to be open to leaving the Reds this summer.
Liverpool have maintained their stance that they do not want to sell Diaz and have reportedly rejected a bid in the region of €67.5m (£58.6m) last week, with the Premier League champions valuing him at around €100m (£86.7m).
Bayern consider Diaz as their number one priority target, and according to Fabrizio Romano, a bid from the German champions is 'expected soon' for the Reds winger.
In case the Bundesliga champions fail to land the 28-year-old winger, they would reportedly turn their attention towards signing Malick Fofana.
Two factors that could work in Bayern's favour to sign Diaz
??? Bayern new proposal for Luis Diaz expected soon, as player opened doors to the move.
Decision up to Liverpool again as they’d surely bring in a new winger if Lucho and Chiesa both leave, that was always the plan.

La Liga giants Barcelona were also interested in signing Diaz, but they are close to signing Marcus Rashford on loan. The Manchester United winger has reportedly completed his medical ahead of his move to Camp Nou, which means the Catalan giants are highly unlikely to move for the Liverpool winger.
Bayern, therefore, have no major competition in the race for the Colombian wide man, and they can look to negotiate a deal on slightly favourable terms.
Secondly, Liverpool are reportedly close to securing a big-money deal for Hugo Ekitike, and the Reds could be willing to offload Diaz to balance the books.
More signings expected at Anfield if Diaz leaves
Diaz reportedly has submitted a transfer request and made it clear to Liverpool that he is open to leaving should he be presented with a really exciting offer.
While Liverpool consider the jet-heeled winger an important part of the squad, they will probably allow him to leave if Bayern come close to their asking price.
The impending arrival of Ekitike will not prevent the Reds from making more signings this summer, especially if Federico Chiesa and Diaz leave.
