Last weekend's humiliating 4-2 defeat to already-relegated Hatayspor only added fuel to the fire, deepening frustrations among the Fenerbahce faithful.
Anger is now directed towards club president Ali Koc and manager Jose Mourinho, both of whom are facing calls to step down following another trophyless season.
It has been a turbulent year off the pitch as well, with the club embroiled in clashes with the Turkish Football Federation, referees, and rival teams, and yet in the end, none of it mattered, as arch-rivals Galatasaray cruised to their third consecutive title.
A home loss to Konyaspor on the final day would risk turning frustration into fury at Sukru Saracoglu Stadium, but given the psychological weight on the players following another collapse, it is a possibility the visitors will look to exploit.

Konyaspor, too, head into this clash on the back of a setback, having seen their six-match home winning run halted in a 2-1 defeat to Alanyaspor last time out.
Recep Ucar's men were two goals down by half time and, despite Umut Nayir halving the deficit, they could not complete the comeback, with Ogulcan Ulgun's late red card compounding the loss.
Still, the Anatolian Eagles can reflect on progress, having already surpassed their 41-point tally from last season, and they currently sit 10th with 46 points and will be aiming to sign off with a positive result in Istanbul.
However, recent history does not favour the visitors, as Konyaspor have lost three and drawn one of their last four meetings with Fenerbahce, failing to win away to the Canaries since 2020.

Caglar Soyuncu is set to start in place of the suspended Mert Muldur, while Alexander Djiku will deputise for the injured Diego Carlos in Fenerbahce's XI.
Mert Hakan Yandas, Allan Saint-Maximin, Jayden Oosterwolde and Rodrigo Becao all remain sidelined through injury.
Yusuf Erdogan is expected to start in midfield for Konyaspor, with Marko Jevtovic injured and Pedrinho suspended,
Ogulcan Ulgun and Blez Kramer will also miss out through suspension, though none were likely starters.
Deniz Ertas will deputise in goal for the injured Jakub Slowik, while Emmanuel Boateng, Ugurcan Yazgili, Danijel Aleksic and Tunahan Tasci are all sidelined.
Fenerbahce possible starting lineup:
Livakovic; Skriniar, Djiku, Soyuncu; Kostic, Amrabat, Fred, Talisca, Aydin; Dzeko, En-Nesyri
Konyaspor possible starting lineup:
Ertas; Guilherme, Bazoer, Demirbag, Boranijasevic; Ibrahimoglu, Bjorlo, Erdogan; Nayir, Ndao, Prip
We say: Fenerbahce 2-1 Konyaspor
Victory here would be a strong statement to cap a season of steady improvement, but they will need to produce something special against a Fenerbahce side looking to salvage pride on a bitter final day, which is why we are backing the host.
