Chelsea are reportedly contemplating whether to offer Kepa Arrizabalaga in any proposal for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Chelsea may allegedly include goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga in any proposal for Inter Milan stopper Andre Onana.

The futures of Chelsea's goalkeepers have been a hot topic for debate of late with Edouard Mendy seemingly being made available for transfer.

That is partly due to the Senegal international falling behind Arrizabalaga in the pecking order, the Spaniard having produced arguably his most consistent stint in a Blues shirt.

Nevertheless, with the £72m signing closing in on the final two years of his seven-year contract, all parties have decisions to make over their next move.

While Arrizabalaga has suggested in the past that he is happy with life in West London, there has been constant speculation regarding whether he will eventually be replaced.

Chelsea are currently in the process of appointing a new head coach, which is likely to be Mauricio Pochettino, and much may depend on the opinion of the Argentine upon his expected arrival at Stamford Bridge.

However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea are open to using Arrizabalaga in any bid to secure the signature of Onana.

The Cameroon international has returned to the Inter fold this campaign to make 33 starts in all competitions, establishing himself as one of Serie A's best goalkeepers.

As many as 15 clean sheets have been posted during that period, and it is claimed that Inter officials have little intention of cashing in on the 27-year-old.

Chelsea's hierarchy have allegedly been informed that Inter will look to recoup £35.4m should they entertain a sale in the summer, subsequently leading to Chelsea to consider including Arrizabalaga in part-exchange.

Although Chelsea cannot expect to generate the same fee for Arrizabalaga, there would theoretically not be a notable difference between the two valuations.

Chelsea and Inter officials are no strangers to holding discussions over transfers, the back-and-forth over Romelu Lukaku the most obvious example.

The Belgium international has publicly acknowledged that he would like to spend at least another season at San Siro at a time when parent club Chelsea may hand him a chance to revive his career in the Premier League.
