Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Sunday's La Liga contest with Rayo Vallecano.

Barcelona boss Xavi will have to assess the fitness of a number of players for Sunday's La Liga contest with Rayo Vallecano at Camp Nou.

Gavi and Jordi Alba should be available despite suffering knocks against Real Sociedad on Thursday evening, with both players able to complete the 90 minutes of their team's 1-0 win.

Gerard Pique, Dani Alves and Ronald Araujo all had to be substituted in the same match, though, and it seems unlikely that the trio will start despite being named in the squad.

As a result, Sergino Dest, Eric Garcia and Clement Lenglet could come into the back four, with Xavi unlikely to take any chances when it comes to the fitness of the defensive trio.

There are not expected to be any alterations in midfield or attack, though, despite the likes of Luuk de Jong, Memphis Depay and Adama Traore pushing for minutes.

Luuk de Jong could potentially have his loan spell from Sevilla extended, but Memphis and Traore could both leave the club this summer, with the latter facing a fight to convince Barcelona to sign him on a permanent basis from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Barcelona will again definitely be missing Sergi Roberto, Samuel Umtiti and Pedri for this match, while Ansu Fati has also been again left out, as he continues his recovery from a hamstring problem during training sessions.

Barcelona possible starting lineup: Ter Stegen; Dest, E Garcia, Lenglet, Alba; Gavi, Busquets, F de Jong; Dembele, Aubameyang, Ferran
