Aston Villa are reportedly among a number of Premier League clubs who are interested in signing Norwich City winger Jonathan Rowe.

Norwich City winger Jonathan Rowe has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for a number of clubs in the Premier League.

Rowe has long been tipped to become one of the best academy graduates at Carrow Road for many years, but he has endured a disrupted period since his progression into the senior ranks.

However, the 20-year-old is now beginning to live up to his potential, establishing himself as one of the Canaries' best players in the Championship this season.

Six goals and one assist have come from his 11 appearances in the second tier, a further strike and assist being posted from two outings in the EFL Cup.

With Norwich in seventh position in the standings during the ongoing international break, there is hope that Rowe can guide his club to promotion back to the Premier League.

Nevertheless, according to TEAMtalk, the East Anglian outfit face a fight to retain his services with a number of top-flight clubs monitoring his development.

The report suggests that Aston Villa are among Rowe's admirers as they contemplate potential attacking additions at the midway point of the season.

Unai Emery is currently happy with his options in the final third, yet that may change should Villa have a prolonged run in the Europa Conference League.

Crystal Palace, Brentford, Burnley and Sheffield United are also said to be toying with the idea of testing Norwich's resolve for their most prized asset.

As it stands, it is suggested that Norwich officials plan on rejecting any bids that may come their way during the January window.

That said, they could soon find themselves in a vulnerable position with Rowe only having a contract until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Norwich are allegedly keen to tie down Rowe to a longer deal and want to hold discussions regarding a renewal as soon as possible.

Rowe has just 31 first-team appearances to his name at Norwich, 13 of which came as a substitute in the Premier League when his club were relegated in 2021-22.

England Under-21s boss Lee Carsley has rewarded Rowe for his recent form with a call-up for the matches with Serbia and Ukraine.
