Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly fail with a bid to sign Swansea City defender Stephen Kingsley.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly come up short with an offer for Swansea City defender Stephen Kingsley.

Since the arrival of Nuno Espirito Santo, Wolves have been busy in the transfer market, with Barry Douglas already representing an addition at left-back.

However, according to The Telegraph, Nuno is still looking to strengthen in the area and had been hoping to take Kingsley to Molineux.

It has been claimed that Swansea have rebuffed the approach, however, and intend to keep a player who has made 17 Premier League appearances for the Welsh club.

Kingsley ended last season as second choice to Martin Olsson, who was brought in by boss Paul Clement during the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old featured on 15 occasions in all competitions during the most recent campaign.
