Manchester United and Everton have reportedly added Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi to their respective transfer shortlists.
The 28-year-old has been a staple of the Foxes side over the past few years, featuring 28 times in the Premier League last season.
Ndidi and Leicester struggled to compete in the top flight, eventually suffering an instant return to the Championship with minimal fuss.
Since making the switch from Belgian outfit Genk during the January window of 2017, the Nigerian has played on 303 occasions for the East Midlands outfit.
Although Ndidi was late to the Premier League-winning party of 2015-16, he did arrive in time for a piece of major silverware, with Leicester lifting the FA Cup at Wembley Stadium in 2021.
Man United, Everton keen on Leicester man Ndidi?
According to transfer specialist Ben Jacobs via The United Stand, Leicester star Ndidi could be heading towards a King Power Stadium exit this summer.
The report claims that Manchester United are considering a move for the 28-year-old ahead of a campaign without European football.
The Red Devils are not alone in their fondness of the 54-time international, though, with Everton also contemplating a swoop for Ndidi.
The midfielder supposedly has a £9m release clause in his current deal in the East Midlands, meaning that he could be snatched away from Leicester for relatively cheap.
After a steady end to the 2024-25 term, Everton are expected to spend heavily during the summer to bolster David Moyes's ranks.
Leicester preparing for Ndidi-less future
With international pedigree and experience of winning major trophies, it is hard to imagine Ndidi spending a second year out of the last three in the Championship.
Man United would be the more attractive option out of the aforementioned pair in terms of status, however game time could be easier to come by at Everton.
Leicester are preparing for a summer of change in their engine room, reportedly making an offer for ex-Liverpool and Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
