Barcelona will reportedly have the chance to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford on a permanent basis for €30m (£26m) during next summer's transfer window.
Rashford is preparing to head to Spain for a medical after Barcelona came to an agreement with Man United over a loan deal for the England international.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Rashford will receive a €14m (£12.1m) gross salary for his season at Barcelona, in addition to bonuses linked to appearances.
Romano claims that the forward has accepted a 15% pay cut, with Man United not covering any of his salary, so the English giants will be removing a wage packet of around £300,000 from their budget.
Barcelona will allegedly have the chance to sign the 27-year-old for €30m (£26m) next summer, but it remains to be seen whether Hansi Flick's side bring him to Camp Nou on a permanent basis.
Barcelona 'can sign Rashford' for £26m next summer
Rashford spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, scoring four goals and registering six assists in 17 appearances in all competitions.
Unai Emery's side had the chance to sign him for £40m during this summer's transfer window, but they decided against it, with their failure to qualify for the 2025-26 Champions League playing a big part in their stance.
Rashford is set to leave Man United with a record of 138 goals and 77 assists in 426 appearances in all competitions, and he is always believed to have dreamed of playing for Barcelona.
The forward's debut for Barcelona could come against Vissel Kobe on July 27, as he is expected to travel on the club's pre-season tour of Asia.
Ferdinand delivers verdict on Rashford exit
Former Man United captain Rio Ferdinand has reacted to the Rashford news, and the ex-centre-back admitted that he is still confused as to why it has gone wrong for him at Old Trafford.
"There must have been so much going on behind the scenes that we're just not aware of. And Marcus isn't someone who really wants to talk and do interviews, so you have to respect that," Ferdinand said on Rio Ferdinand Presents.
"But I'm sure it'll come out in the wash at some point. Is it because of a lack of form? A lack of confidence? Mismanagement? Have the club failed him?
"Or is it down to him? Is there injuries we don't know about? Has he lost that desire? That form is gone and he can't rekindle it and can't get it back?
"What are the issues that have led to a young kid that's a graduate of the academy at Manchester United, which is famous for all of the great players that have come through there, that he says he wants to leave?"
Rashford's competitive debut for Barcelona could come in the La Liga clash with Mallorca on August 16.
