Malaga beat sixth-placed Deportivo La Coruna at La Rosaleda

Javi Gracia's Malaga side beat sixth-place Deportivo La Coruna at La Rosaleda in their La Liga clash, with goals from Adnane Tighadouini and Juan Carlos.

Malaga have defeated sixth-place Deportivo La Coruna in their La Liga clash at the La Rosaleda stadium.

The first half was devoid of any clear-cut chances as both sides probed without committing too many men forward.

Deportivo manager Victor Sanchez attempted to change the complexion of the game by introducing vice-captain Laure and on-loan Liverpool winger Luis Alberto early in the second half.

It was the home side, however, who struck first blood as Adnane Tighadouini struck the ball past Deportivo keeper German Lux to give his side the lead after 66 minutes.

Sanchez introduced Cani for Watford loanee Juanfran in the 75th minute as his side searched for an equaliser.

Malaga, who also made three changes, struck again in the 85th minute through another loan player in the form of Braga's Juan Carlos, to wrap up the three points.

Javi Gracia's side move up one place to 16th in the La Liga table, while Deportivo remain in sixth following the defeat.
