Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester City could line up for Saturday's FA Cup semi-final with Liverpool.

Manchester City have been handed fresh injury concerns with two of their big-name stars ahead of Saturday's FA Cup semi-final with Liverpool at Wembley Stadium.

Ruben Dias was able to make the bench for the Champions League quarter-final second leg with Atletico Madrid, while Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker both came off with respective calf and ankle injuries.

The extent of their issues is currently unclear, but Pep Guardiola claimed that the injuries left his side in "big trouble" ahead of the semi-final, with Cole Palmer nursing an injury of his own in the same area.

Guardiola has a big call to make in between the sticks, but the nature of the occasion should see Ederson given the nod over FA Cup regular Zack Steffen.

With Dias not even coming on as a substitute at the Wanda Metropolitano, Guardiola may be hesitant to include him from the first whistle on Saturday, which could see John Stones and Aymeric Laporte resume their partnership again.

Stones and Laporte holding their spots at centre-back would likely see Joao Cancelo shift over to the right to cover for the injured Walker, as Nathan Ake seeks to hold off Oleksandr Zinchenko for the left-back spot.

Bernardo Silva should join Ilkay Gundogan and Rodri in the midfield with De Bruyne on the sidelines, and City will also be boosted by the return of Gabriel Jesus from a European ban, and the Brazilian's fresh legs could be selected over Riyad Mahrez.

Phil Foden managed to carry on despite taking a bang to the head from Felipe on Wednesday, but Jack Grealish and Raheem Sterling are both alternative options in the attack should Guardiola urge caution over Foden.

Man City possible starting lineup: Ederson; Cancelo, Stones, Laporte, Ake; Silva, Rodri, Gundogan; Jesus, Sterling, Grealish
