Leeds United boss Steve Evans is the new clear favourite with the bookmakers to fill the managerial vacancy at Nottingham Forest.

Three leading bookmakers have installed Steve Evans as the new favourite to take charge of Nottingham Forest.

It was expected that the job had been nabbed by Gus Poyet, but the Uruguayan has now agreed a deal with La Liga outfit Real Betis.

Since then, Sky Bet, Bet Victor and Betfair have all made current Leeds United boss Evans the clear frontrunner to fill the void at the City Ground.

Evans, 53, has been tipped to become a free agent in the near future, with his contract at Elland Road due to expire next month.

Former Forest midfielder Martin O'Neill is the second favourite, while Karl Robinson is third in the market.
