France manager Didier Deschamps will almost certainly be deprived of Warren Zaire-Emery for Tuesday's final Euro 2024 qualifying Group B battle with Greece in Athens.
The 17-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder became Les Bleus' youngest player in 109 years during Saturday's 14-0 destruction of Gibraltar, where he scored his side's third goal on the night.
However, as the ball left Zaire-Emery's boot, the teenager was caught on the ankle by the studs of Ethan Santos - who was sent off after a VAR review - and he limped off the field on the 20-minute mark.
Deschamps is hopeful that Zaire-Emery did not sustain a fracture, but he is believed to be nursing a significant sprain, which will force the France coach into at least one alteration this week.
Nevertheless, with first place in Group B and a spot in Pot 1 of the group-stage draw both confirmed, now is the time for Deschamps to tinker with his resources, giving rise to another start in goal for Brice Samba.
A full contingent of defensive changes could also see William Saliba and Axel Disasi offered rare starts at the back, with Jules Kounde and Lucas Hernandez completing the visitors' four-man rearguard.
Adrien Rabiot could hold his place in midfield, where Youssouf Fofana is the most likely candidate to join him, although Boubacar Kamara and Khephren Thuram - who replaced the injured Eduardo Camavinga - are competent alternatives.
A recall for Ousmane Dembele in attack is also in order, but Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe - who now has 300 career goals to his name - will likely continue in the final third, potentially as Randal Kolo Muani's supporting cast.
France possible starting lineup: Samba; Kounde, Saliba, Disasi, L. Hernandez; Fofana, Rabiot; Dembele, Griezmann, Mbappe; Kolo Muani
