Chelsea were crowned the champions of the world in July, recording a stunning 3-0 victory over European champions Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the 2025 Club World Cup.

The Blues have spent in excess of £100m to get deals for Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens over the line in recent weeks, and both could be vital for the club during the 2025-26 campaign.

Meanwhile, funds have been raised through the sale of Kepa Arrizabalaga to Arsenal, Chelsea also benefitting from getting the Spanish goalkeeper's wages off their outgoings.

In the short term, the focus is seemingly on facilitating more departures with Noni Madueke being heavily linked with a transfer to Arsenal, and that deal is expected to be confirmed in the near future.

Chelsea are also being linked with Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho, and it is possible that the Argentina international could move to Stamford Bridge with Nicolas Jackson going in the opposite direction.

The Blues have already spent over £200m during this summer's transfer window, but they have now brought in £40m, with Djordje Petrovic making the switch to Bournemouth.

Chelsea have been picked as potential Premier League title challengers in the coming season due to their excellent performances at the Club World Cup.

Enzo Maresca's side are currently working towards the start of their 2025-26 Premier League campaign, with the capital outfit beginning their season at home to Crystal Palace on August 17.
