Manchester United are reportedly considering an offer for Bologna attacker Dan Ndoye.
The 24-year-old's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with Nottingham Forest believed to be pushing to bring him to the Premier League for the 2025-26 campaign.
Forest are in the market for a replacement for Anthony Elanga, who has made the move to Newcastle United, and it is understood that Ndoye is firmly on their radar for this summer's market.
According to Il Resto del Carlino, Forest's opening offer of €30m (£26m) plus €5m (£4.3m) in add-ons has been rejected, with Bologna looking for a fee in the region of €50m (£43.4m) for him.
The report claims that Forest are planning a fresh bid, but Man United are also in the mix for his signature, with the 20-time English champions lining up an offer of their own for the Switzerland international.
Man United 'lining up' offer for Bologna's Ndoye
Man United are believed to be willing to pay €45m (£39m) for Ndoye, and they could potentially have an advantage in the battle for his signature.
Joshua Zirkzee, who joined Man United from Bologna last summer, is said to have a strong relationship with Ndoye, and it is being reported that the Red Devils striker has been in touch with his former teammate.
Ndoye came through the youth system at Lausanne Sport before progressing to first-team level in 2019, scoring 13 times and registering eight assists in 49 appearances for the Swiss outfit.
The attacker then managed 12 goals and 15 assists in 97 matches for Basel ahead of a move to Bologna, joining the Italian side in 2023.
Ndoye has scored 11 goals and registered eight assists in 75 matches for his current team, including nine goals and six assists in 41 outings during the 2024-25 campaign.
Would Ndoye be a good signing for Man United?
Ndoye is primarily a right-sided attacker, but he is also capable of featuring as a right-sided wing-back, making him a very interesting option for Man United.
Marcus Rashford has already left this summer to join Barcelona on loan, while Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Jadon Sancho are set to depart in the near future.
Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha have arrived, but Man United lack forwards that are comfortable in wide positions, with the exception of Amad Diallo, so it is not difficult to understand the alleged interest in Ndoye, who could be a very smart signing for the 20-time English champions.
