Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly set to complete the signing of Hellas Verona defender Diego Coppola.

After competing in the Europa League for the first time ever recently, the Seagulls are looking to return to the continental stage in the near future.

The South Coast club are under the tutelage of head coach Fabian Hurzeler, who enjoyed a steady maiden campaign in the Premier League.

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Brighton are looking to bolster their defensive ranks during the summer transfer window.

The report claims that the Seagulls are keen on securing the signature of Hellas Verona star Coppola ahead of the 2025-26 season.

It is understood that Brighton have submitted an offer in excess of £8.4m - an amount which is expected to be accepted by the Serie A outfit.

The deal is not fully confirmed just yet, though, with the final details of the arrangement needing to be sorted ahead of an official announcement.

The Seagulls have supposedly beat South Coast foes Bournemouth, who were also interested in bringing Coppola to the Premier League.

As per Football Insider, Scottish midfielder Liam Henderson is heading towards a return to the United Kingdom after seven years in Italy.

The report states that Championship outfits Bristol City and Swansea City are battling for the talents of the 29-year-old this summer.

Henderson has spent the last five years on the books of Empoli, who were relegated to Serie B this term following an 18th-placed finish.

The former Celtic youngster will see his contract at the club expire this month, meaning that he is able to move away on a free transfer.

Such a situation has alerted the attentions of Bristol City and Swansea, with the pair hoping to mount playoff challenges in the Championship during the 2025-26 term.

Birmingham agree to sign Brighton goalkeeper?

Staying in the Championship, newly-promoted Birmingham City are set to announce the signing of a goalkeeper, according to Football Insider.

It is understood that Blues have agreed a deal with Brighton to bring young shot-stopper James Beadle to St Andrew's @ Knighthead Park on loan for the 2025-26 campaign.

The Second City club are supposedly set to confirm the transfer within the next 48 hours, representing Birmingham's first bit of business this summer.
