Bournemouth attacker Justin Kluivert makes an honest prediction about Milos Kerkez's potential move to Premier League champions Liverpool.

Justin Kluivert has predicted that his Bournemouth teammate, Milos Kerkez, will sign for Liverpool this summer.

Kerkez has developed a reputation as one of the Premier League's brightest full-backs during his two-year stay at the Vitality Stadium.

The Hungary international started all 38 league matches in 2024-25, helping Bournemouth achieve a top-half finish with their highest-ever points tally in the top flight.

Kerkez's impressive performances have led to significant speculation over a potential move to Premier League champions Liverpool.

A recent report claimed that Liverpool have initiated contact with Bournemouth, although they are yet to submit a formal offer.

Kluivert makes Kerkez admission

Previous speculation has suggested that Bournemouth could demand at least £40m to part ways with a player who is under contract until the summer of 2028.

While nothing has been agreed between the two clubs, Kluivert admits that it is likely that Kerkez will leave Bournemouth for Liverpool at some stage of the summer transfer window.

“He'll probably go there. I hope so for him,” Kluivert told Voetbal Primeur. “He hasn't really said goodbye yet, but I hope he'll make it happen there.”

Bournemouth have already prepared for Kerkez's departure, having reached a verbal agreement with Rennes to sign left-back Adrien Truffert.

Why are Liverpool keen to sign a new left-back?

On the face of it, Liverpool are in no desperate need of a new left-back, with Arne Slot able to call upon Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.

However, Robertson came under scrutiny for some of his performances in the 2024-25 campaign despite helping the club win their 20th top-flight title.

With Robertson now in his 30s, Liverpool are seemingly keen to recruit a younger defender who has the ability to become the Scotsman's long-term successor.

It also remains to be seen whether Tsimikas will have a future at Anfield if the Reds are successful in their efforts to sign Kerkez.
