Britain's Charlotte Bankes has been crowned women's snowboard-cross world champion after victory in Idre Fjall, Sweden on Thursday.
Bankes dominated her heats before overtaking Eva Samkova to claim the title and become the first woman representing Britain to win a medal at a snowboard World Championship.

Bankes, who was born in Hemel Hempstead, represented France when she won silver at the 2019 World Championship before switching allegiance shortly afterwards.
The 25-year-old is a six-time World Cup medallist and must now be considered one of Great Britain's best hopes of a medal at next year's Winter Olympics in Beijing.
