West Brom endured a turbulent campaign last season, with a series of managerial changes disrupting their rhythm. Even so, the Baggies managed a respectable ninth-place finish, ending up just four points short of the play-offs.

Ryan Mason has since taken charge at The Hawthorns, choosing to leave his role on Tottenham’s coaching staff to begin his first full-time job in senior management.

With several players having left at the end of last season, Mason will be eager to reshape the squad in his image ahead of the new campaign. His first signing came in the form of Nat Phillips, who joined from Premier League champions Liverpool for an undisclosed fee.

West Brom have also landed the services of Norwegian striker Aune Heggebo from SK Brann as they look to provide support and competition for Josh Maja and Daryl Dike up front.

The Baggies will hope those two signings mark the start of a productive summer window, as they aim to assemble a squad capable of finally returning to the Premier League for the first time since 2020–21.
