Stoke City 'fear for fans' safety ahead of away clash against West Ham United'

Stoke City reportedly fear for their fans' safety ahead of their November trip to West Ham United's London Stadium following the recent violent scenes.

Stoke City reportedly fear for their supporters' safety ahead of the November clash against West Ham United at the London Stadium.

The Stratford ground, which became the Hammers' home in the summer, was the scene of violence on Wednesday night when West Ham and Chelsea fans clashed during an EFL Cup tie.

The Hammers are reportedly planning to ban 200 fans for their involvement in the skirmishes, and now their upcoming opponents are growing concerned.

According to The Mirror, a source close to the Potters, who face West Ham on November 5, said: "We are concerned for the safety of our fans. It would be remiss of us not to be concerned. We are taking a big allocation of tickets for the game, more than 2,000."

Six men were arrested by the Metropolitan Police following the unsavoury scenes, and three of them have been charged.
