Slaven Bilic: 'Troublesome minority hurting West Ham United'

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic says that he "felt at home" for the first time at the London Stadium on Wednesday, prior to the disturbing scenes towards the end.

Slaven Bilic has admitted that the latest outbreak of trouble inside West Ham United's new London Stadium home is damaging the club's reputation.

The Hammers boss was disappointed to see his side's impressive 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the EFL Cup overshadowed by unsavoury scenes at the end of the match.

As many as 200 supporters face banning orders after disturbances in the closing stages of Wednesday's derby clash, with Bilic condemning the behaviour of a minority of fans on what he felt was a turning point on the pitch for the Hammers at their Stratford home.

"Don't get me wrong, but we really felt at home," he told reporters. "Everything we were talking about before the game - 'Is it like home? Is it like the Boleyn Ground was?' - we really felt the crowd behind us.

"Of course [it hurts]. The club doesn't deserve it, the players don't deserve it, the fans don't deserve it - the big majority of them."

West Ham's reward for beating Chelsea is a visit to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the competition next month.
