Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte is out to avoid equalling a 12-year-old losing record when Spurs take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in Sunday's Premier League clash.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte will be aiming to avoid equalling a 12-year-old personal losing record when Spurs welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to North London on Sunday.

The Italian has overseen two defeats from his side's last two Premier League games, firstly going down 2-0 to Chelsea before Wednesday's 3-2 defeat to Southampton.

Spurs have already lost three in a row in the 2021-22 season under Nuno Espirito Santo, but Conte has another incentive to avoid defeat to Wolves at the weekend.

Should the Lilywhites come up short against Bruno Lage's side, it will mark the first time since November 2009 that Conte has lost three league games in a row as a manager.

The 52-year-old has not overseen a trio of successive losses since the 2009-10 Serie A season with Atalanta BC, who lost to Livorno, Cagliari and Juventus in that miserable streak.

Spurs remain seventh in the table after their midweek loss to Southampton - four points adrift of West Ham United in the final Champions League spot with three games in hand.
