Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Serbia could line up for Sunday's Euro 2024 Group C clash with England.

Serbia head coach Dragan Stojkovic is facing an unenviable selection predicament in attack for Sunday's Euro 2024 Group C opener against England at the Veltins-Arena.

The Eagles have no injury concerns to factor in for the clash with the Three Lions, and Stojkovic went with a two-man strikeforce of Dusan Vlahovic and Aleksandar Mitrovic for the recent 3-0 friendly win over Sweden.

However, the Serbia manager is expected to revert to a single number nine for Sunday, where all-time men's top scorer Mitrovic - who netted his 58th goal for his nation last time out - seems set to get the nod over the Juventus frontman.

With Vlahovic demoted to the bench, record appearance maker Dusan Tadic - who struck off the bench against Sweden - could act as one of two supporting cast members, alongside Mitrovic's Al-Hilal teammate Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The Eagles' XI should take on a 3-4-2-1 shape from the first whistle, in which Juventus' Filip Kostic should bomb down the left flank, while Andrija Zivkovic takes on right wing-back duties; both men provided assists in the recent success over Sweden.

Competition for places in midfield is rife, but Nemanja Maksimovic should regain his rightful place after missing the Sweden victory with a head injury, and Fulham's Sasa Lukic may have done enough to hold off Nemanja Gudelj for the second engine room spot.

The Sevilla man could alternatively be deployed in defence, but Strahinja Pavlovic, Nikola Milenkovic and Milos Veljkovic are seemingly nailed-on to start, although Vanja Milinkovic-Savic faces tough competition from Predrag Rajkovic for the number one spot.

Serbia possible starting lineup:
V. Milinkovic-Savic; Veljkovic, Milenkovic, Pavlovic; Zivkovic, Maksimovic, Lukic, Kostic; S. Milinkovic-Savic, Tadic; Mitrovic
