Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to offer Gareth Bale a new seven-year contract.

The attacker, who has scored three times for Wales at Euro 2016 thus far, joined Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 and has scored 58 times in 123 matches for the Spanish giants.

The 26-year-old has been consistently linked with a return to the Premier League, however, with Manchester United said to be long-term admirers of the former Southampton youngster.

Real Madrid are believed to be confident of fighting off interest from Old Trafford though and according to the Daily Mail, the La Liga outfit are preparing to put a new seven-year deal on the table.

The same report claims that the contract, which would run until 2023, would make Bale one of the highest-paid players in the world and cement his long-term future in the Spanish capital.

Bale, who has won two Champions League titles in the last three seasons, cost Real Madrid in the region of £85m in the summer of 2013.
