Paris Saint-Germain confirm Unai Emery as new manager

Paris Saint-Germain confirm former Sevilla boss Unai Emery as the club's new manager on a two-year deal.

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed former Sevilla boss Unai Emery as the club's new manager.

The 44-year-old, who stepped down from his role at Sevilla having guided them to an unprecedented third consecutive Europa League success, has signed a two-year deal at the Parc des Princes.

The Spaniard replaces Laurent Blanc, who left the club on Monday following a trophy-laden three-year spell in the French capital.

"It is an honour for me to accept the challenge of coaching PSG this coming season," Emery wrote on Twitter.

Emery, who has also previously managed Valencia and Spartak Moscow, won 107 of his 206 matches in charge of Sevilla, giving him a win percentage of 51.9%.
