Manchester United reportedly emerge as favourites to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba during the summer.

Manchester United have reportedly moved to the front of the queue in the race to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

United are said to be one of a number of clubs interested in the 23-year-old, but the player himself apparently favours a move to Real Madrid.

However, according to AS, the Spanish giants may struggle to fund a move for the French international due to renovation work at the Bernabeu and their desire to extend the contracts of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

It is claimed that those developments could encourage United to try to push through the transfer and the Premier League outfit are said to be ready to meet the €120m (£98.8m) asking price.

Pogba spent two years at Old Trafford between 2010 and 2012 but he made the decision to leave for Italy after making just seven substitute appearances.
